  • Don Hackerson

    FOUNDER - WINDSOR

    A 1957 graduate of the University of Illinois College of Agriculture, started his business career with Swift & Company Meat Packing. In 1962-1963 completed home office management training, transferred to the fertilizer division for Swift Chemical. Career moves took him to Mobil Chemical in Richmond Virginia, a short stint with large computer sales and then back to his "Roots" and the formation of PRO-AG Consulting. The last twenty-two years has been spent developing The PRO-AG Crop Management Program. Starting as a partnership with his brother John, to a million dollar corporation today, has been the fulfillment of his business dream. Don lives in Windsor Illinois and is in the process of selling PRO-AG Consulting, LLC to his current employees. Don, hopes this transition of ownership will enable PRO-AG Consulting, LLC to maintain it's fine relationship with our current and future client base.   • Chris Behl

    BLOOMINGTON

    Chris Behl, a Shelby County, Illinois native started his farmland career with Pro-Ag Consulting, LLC in 1988 while he was in High School. Each summer, while in High School and College, Chris would return to help with the soil sampling business. Graduating from Eastern Illinois University Charleston in May 1994 with a bachelor's degree in marketing, he began his Crop Management/ Farm Real Estate career. After moving to the Bloomington, IL area in 1996, he is now responsible for Northern Illinois client operations and a Managing Partner/ Owner of Pro-Ag Consulting LLC. His territory encompasses 60 counties in Illinois and Indiana. In 2006 Chris received his Real Estate License from the State of Illinois. In 2022 Chris joined The Loranda Group, INC. as a Real Estate Broker. The Loranda Group's co-founders and owners, John and LeeAnn Moss, have earned national acclaim as agricultural land industry leaders and reliable resources for their expertise and accomplishments in farm land appraisal, management, sales, acquisitions, and agribusiness. With over 34 years of experience in precision agriculture management and recently farmland real estate he looks forward to continuing to help current and new clients achieve their goals. Chris resides in Bloomington, Illinois with his wife Kim, son Zack, and daughter Reagan.

  • Jason Boerngen

    MONTROSE

    Jason joined PRO-AG as a summer intern in May of 1995. He had just finished his 1st two years at Lakeland College and was enrolled at Southern Illinois University majoring in Plant and Soil Science. Graduating in May of 1997, Jason immediately came to work for us as a full time Agronomist. He currently covers an area south of I-70, east of I-55 and North of I-64. Included are the counties of Sullivan, Knox, Daviess, Martin, Gibson and Pike counties in Indiana. This area has tripled in number of acres and revenue since being assigned to him. Through hard work and dedication, Jason has developed a very loyal group of clients. The word most heard from his clients, "He always does what he says he is going to do" and "He is always on time." Jason and his wife Jennifer just built a new home in the Dieterich area. Jennifer teaches school in Effingham. Jason's hobbies when has time are deer hunting and fishing. Jason is a member of the National Association of Independent Crop Consultant (NAICC) and the Illinois Soil Testing Association.

  • Matt Schiling

    MCLEANSBORO

    Matt Shilling is a native of Dahlgren, Illinois, graduated from Southern Illinois University with a major in Plant and Soil Science. Matt worked for PRO-AG as a summer intern while attending S.I.U. during the summers of 1998 and 1999. When Matt graduated in December of 1999, he joined PRO-AG Consulting as a consultant in training. After 1 year he was assigned a new area for PRO-AG Consulting, namely all areas in Missouri, Illinois and Kentucky. Matt enjoys helping with dad's farming and enjoys restoring those old WD45's and also enjoys the troubleshooting aspect of our job. Helping farmers to improve their economic return per acre is his number one goal.

  • Ted Huber

    MONTROSE

    Ted joined PRO-AG as a Consulting Agronomist in October of 1995 after working in the Fertilizer Industry for the last 16 years. A 1974 graduate of Southern Illinois University with a major in Agriculture, Ted's work started with the Shelby County Extension Unit. Ted and his wife, Donna are very active in many different community and civic organizations. Ted is a certified crop advisor (CCA) and an member of the National Association of Independent Crop Consultants. Ted currently covers an area south of I-74 East of Montgomery county. Included are several counties in Indiana. Ted enjoys playing softball and basketball, watching Cardinal and Illini games.
